Randy Santly, Chief Executive/Owner

I am currently the Chief Executive/Owner of Santly Training, LLC with over 29 years of experience in many technical and educational aspects of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Most recently I was the Supervisor for the Mercedes-Benz STARt technical training programs in Norwood, MA, and Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and the Education Supervisor for the Mercedes-Benz ELITE program in Norwood, MA, for 3 years. Prior to this I was an Instructor for the Mercedes-Benz ELITE program in Allentown, PA, and Norwood, MA, for 5 years. I’ve also taught Mercedes-Benz Elite courses in Orlando, FL, Chicago, IL, and Rancho, CA, and participated in training in Houston, TX.

My duties, as subject matter expert and liaison to MBUSA for many years, were to design and create the curriculum for both programs and to present in Montvale, NJ. I also hosted two parts and technical training seminars for MBUSA and Mercedes-Benz of Westwood for Independent dealers in the Boston area. This was a first for MBUSA to sponsor technical training for Independent shops in the country. A Mobil1 rep also performed a demo for the seminar.

As Instructor I trained over 1000 technicians, students and instructors across the country. I tested new fuel technology in PA for Talbert Fuel Systems, Inc. and presented the findings and results to worldwide investors and board members. I mentored and judged students for multiple Skills USA competitions in PA and MA. I was also a facilitator for new technology at the Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) convention in Detroit, MI.

My first job was as a technician apprentice for Roger Penske at a Porsche Audi dealership. I’ve also worked at two Mercedes-Benz dealerships for 21 years. Starting out as a Technician I had progressively worked my way up through Master Technician, Team Leader, Shop Foreman and Service Manager. I also worked at a Mercedes-Benz specific Independent shop for 2 years and have done consulting work for shops in the area.

I have successfully completed over 100 Mercedes-Benz factory training and eLearning courses from 1979 to date, along with the following courses; S-Class V221 Train the Trainer (T3) Certified, Mercedes-Benz Master Technician, ASE Master Automotive Certified, ASE L1 Certified, ASE 609 A/C Certified, Corpedia, Inc -18 Ethics and Compliance courses,  Northampton Community College – Emissions, ETC – Electronics.
